Why barbers move to memberships
Cutting hair one appointment at a time means your income restarts at zero every Monday. A holiday week, a slow January or a run of no-shows lands entirely on you, even though the same regulars keep coming back the rest of the year.
A membership flips that. The client who comes in every two weeks stops being a booking you have to win again and becomes a monthly payment you can count on. You know roughly what next month looks like before it starts, which makes it possible to plan a rent increase, a second chair or a week off.
It's also better for the client. They lock in their spot with the barber who already knows their head, they stop thinking about payment at the chair, and they get first call on your schedule.
What ARIS costs and what it doesn't
ARIS charges one flat monthly platform fee: $39 a month for the first 100 founding pros, $59 a month after that. That's the whole cost. There is no percentage of your subscriptions, no per-booking commission, no fee on tips and no charge for add-ons or one-time services.
Nothing is charged before you earn. Your account stays free while you build your profile, set prices and invite clients. The fee starts only after your first subscriber, and it stays the same whether you have three members or three hundred.
Compare that to a commission app: at thirty clients paying $50 a month, a 20% cut costs you $300 every month. On ARIS that same book costs $39.
Everything in one place

Common questions
When do I start paying ARIS?
Not until your first subscriber. Your account is free while you set up your profile, prices and hours. The flat monthly fee only starts once someone actually subscribes to you.
How much does ARIS take out of what my clients pay?
Nothing. You keep 100% of every subscription, add-on, one-time service and tip. The only deduction is Stripe's card processing fee, which goes to Stripe, not to ARIS.
How do I get paid?
You connect your own Stripe account during setup. Client payments land in your Stripe balance and pay out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule, usually within a couple of business days.
Do I set my own prices?
Yes. You set the price and what's included for each monthly tier, plus any paid add-ons for existing members and one-time services for people who aren't subscribed to you.
What if a client cancels?
They keep the visits they already paid for through the end of their billing period, then the membership stops. Nothing is charged again.
Can I leave?
Any time. Cancel your plan and your ARIS fee stops. Your clients' remaining paid time is honoured.
